Joe Biden’s interview with Lester Holt, NBC News Lester Holt on Monday night was a bit of a disaster. The interview was not only a disaster because he refused to take responsibility for his violent and dangerous rhetoric against Donald Trump, but it also showed his disturbing incapacity for the presidency. The interview was a continuation of his tired, weak performance. But the worst part came when he called his female Secret Service Director a man.
Holt asked, “Do you feel safe?” Holt asked, “Do you feel secure?”
Biden said, “I feel safe when I’m with the Secret Service.” “But, look at — what we saw was that the Secret Service responded and risked their life responding. They were willing to risk their lives to protect the president. Should they have predicted what happened? They should have taken the necessary steps to prevent it from happening. “That’s the question. That’s — it’s an open-ended question.”
Is it acceptable to you that the Secret Service Director has not yet spoken publicly?
Biden replied, “Oh, I heard about him.”
What did he say? Joe Biden, do you not know that Kimberly Cheatle is the Director of U.S. Secret Service? He should, he placed her in this position two years earlier.
Lester Holt corrected him.
He asked, “But have heard her publicly?”
Biden seemed confused by Holt’s correction.
“Publicly. I’ve been seated in the Situation room downstairs. All the major players are there: the Secret Service, FBI, national security agencies, and Homeland Security. There are two parts to this. It’s not an explanation. “It’s an ordinary explanation,” said he. “The domestic and local law enforcement agencies play a significant role in this.” They have a major role. So there’s another comp. I’m also not saying that they were incompetent. “I’m only saying that it’s an extremely complicated process.”
Does Biden not know who the director of the Secret Service is?
NBC: “Is it acceptable that you have still not heard, at least publicly, from the Secret Service Director?”
BIDEN: “Oh, I’ve heard from him.”

He continued to ramble on for a long time, but he never mentioned Cheatle. He seemed to be caught off-guard by Holt’s correction, and confused by her referring to Cheatle as a woman.
Biden’s error here is alarming. This mistake calls into question Biden’s mental sharpness and honesty. How could the purported President forget that the Director of the Secret Service is a female, who he appointed?
This is not surprising considering that he called Kamala “Vice-President Trump” in his press conference following the NATO summit.
Kimberly Cheatle was under heavy scrutiny because of the security lapses that almost led to Donald Trump being assassinated.
Holt noted that she had been silent after the incident. Biden lied about talking with the Secret Service director but forgot that he appointed a female. If Biden had spoken to her over the last few days, perhaps he would have remembered that Cheatle was a woman and not made this mistake.
